Fostering Information Virtual Event

Join us for an informal information presentation and chat where you can find out more about fostering for your local council and all the ongoing reassurance and support that brings.

This session is for anyone thinking about fostering from babies to teenagers and all the different types of fostering there are.

• Fostering will suit different people or families at various life stages. If now isn't quite the right time for you, but you're still curious to find out more ready for when it is, please still come along, there's no commitment.

• If you currently foster for another local authority or agency, it's a really simple process to transfer to ESCC and you can carry on with any children already placed in your care.

• You may be able to work alongside fostering if your work is flexible so you can attend meetings for the children in your care when required - please ask any questions you have about this at the session.

• ESCC fostering payments reflect the needs of the child or young person being cared for. They are shown on the website and can be discussed in more detail with our team in due course. We also help signpost you to information about the benefits you can still claim because fostering allowances are not counted as income when calculating many means-tested benefits.
