Four Winds Mahjong Club’s biggest annual event of the year is finally here!
This October, two families will come together in joyous union. But as with any respectable Chinese wedding, this isn’t just about love.
This is about family honour.
HOW IT WORKS
Upon arrival, every guest will be welcomed into either the Bride’s family, or the Groom’s family. From that moment on, the family name rests in your hands.
You’ll receive your own Wedding Programme, containing a set of family duties to complete before the night is over. Battle it out over Mahjong. Win some Heng Dai (gatecrashing) games. Challenge your in-laws to some Karaoke. Pose for some obligatory family photos. Make an auspicious speech. Pay respects to the happy couple…
For every duty you complete, earn a STAMP OF APPROVAL from the Four Winds Aunties and Uncles. Each stamp gets you closer to bringing eternal honour to the family name… and the chance at some prizes.
SEATING ARRANGEMENTS
Just like any wedding, you’ll have an assigned table chosen at the ticket checkout – except ours comes with Mahjong tiles.
Booking with friends? Make sure to choose the same table when purchasing your tickets.
Each table will seat a wedding party of 7 guests. Take turns and rotate between games in between your Wedding Party with this one rule: the Bride’s family must always battle the Groom’s family.
DRESS CODE: FORMAL
Come in your finest wedding-guest attire. We strongly recommend suits, dresses, qipaos/changshans/cheongsams, or anything worthy of the family photo album. Dress well. You may be rewarded for it.

FAQ
What Mahjong levels are welcome?
A basic level of Mahjong is required as we will not have any teaching at this event. You don’t need to be an expert – but you should be comfortable joining a game and playing independently with points.
I have an allergy…
We will do our best to accommodate vegetarians/vegans, but unfortunately we cannot guarantee that the food will be suitable for specific allergies/intolerance. If unsure, contact one of the organisers.
Do I have to take part in all the Family Duties?
It’s completely up to you how you spend your night. Nobody will force a karaoke mic in your hand or force you into a gatecrashing game, but completing as many various duties earns you Stamps of Approval and unlocks opportunities to win prizes.
Can I pick which family I’m in?
No. You will be assigned this upon entry, but you will still be able to mingle with whoever you please. Accept your fate with dignity.
Is there a coat check?
We recommend that you use the coat area, the event is private but the coat area will not be attended the whole evening.
Can I arrive late?
Would you arrive late to your own wedding?
