EVENING EQUINOX CACAO CIRCLE
The Autumn Equinox Cacao Gathering
Honouring the Earth through the wisdom of Mexican cacao
As summer gives way to autumn, nature reminds us that every season carries its own invitation.
The Autumn Equinox is a moment of balance—when day and night stand in perfect harmony. Across cultures, it has long been honoured as a time to pause, give thanks for the harvest, and prepare for the quieter months ahead.
Join us for an intimate evening of traditional Mexican cacao, inspired by the Maya worldview of Yucatán and the teachings shared with Frido by Abuelo Efrén Maldonado.
Rather than simply drinking cacao, we’ll explore its cultural roots through stories, mythology and el tejido de la palabra the weaving of conversation that has carried this wisdom through generations.
Together, we’ll create a collective altar to honour the Earth, the changing season, and the relationships that sustain life. Each person will bring a small natural offering, reminding us that community is built through what each of us contributes.
This gathering is an invitation to slow down, reconnect with nature, and experience cacao through the lens of reciprocity, gratitude and belonging.

Spaces are intentionally limited to create an intimate and meaningful gathering. We can welcome up to 12 guests indoors, allowing everyone the opportunity to connect, share and contribute to the circle.
Once those places are filled, we'll open a waiting list. If the weather is on our side, we'll gather outdoors around the fire and release additional spaces that week, welcoming more of our community to join us.
This gathering is open to all ages, because every generation has a place around the circle, and each of us plays a part in building a thriving community.
We look forward to welcoming you into the circle.
