Musicians Collective

The Collective Series brings together our Musicians Collective and Vocal Collective in one new home at St John’s Church.

These friendly, practical sessions are for singers, instrumentalists and creative musicians who want to build confidence, develop skills, meet other musicians and enjoy making music in a relaxed and supportive setting.

The sessions are led by professional musicians and include a mix of guided playing, group singing, performance coaching, jam sessions, soloing ideas and opportunities to try things out in a safe and encouraging space.

The Collective Series

The Collective Series brings singers, instrumentalists and singer instrumentalists together in one creative and supportive musical community.

Whether you enjoy singing, playing, improvising, performing or simply making music with others, these sessions are designed to help you develop confidence, musicianship and creativity in a relaxed and encouraging environment.

Each evening may include group singing, ensemble playing, jam sessions, harmony work, soloing techniques, performance coaching, playing by ear, improvisation and opportunities to explore new musical ideas alongside other musicians.

The sessions explore a range of musical styles and challenges, giving everyone a way in while also offering opportunities to stretch skills, try new ideas and build confidence.

There are also performance opportunities during the year, including chances to take part in Franklin Music community events. You can see the Collective Series in action at Reigate Summer Festival, where members of the Musicians Collective will be performing as part of the Franklin Music programme.
