Protect Children. Build Skills. Create Lead-Safe Communities.
Safer renovation starts with people who know how to work lead-safe. For communities with older housing and childcare facilities, expanding access to RRP training is an investment in both protecting children and developing the local workforce.
Through a contract with EPA Region 5, ETC is removing the cost of training for eligible participants. Contractors, maintenance workers, and people preparing to enter the trades can gain practical skills for managing lead dust during renovation, repair, and painting.
The opportunity extends beyond individual participants. Municipalities, health departments, housing authorities, workforce agencies, and organizations serving children and families can help connect this training with the communities they serve.
By bringing together training expertise and local partnerships, we can help more workers build valuable qualifications—and help more families benefit from safer renovation practices.
