A landmark trial shakes France when young Marie-Claire is prosecuted for having an illegal abortion. Defended by Gisèle Halimi, a fearless French-Tunisian lawyer portrayed by Charlotte Gainsbourg, the women challenge a male-dominated justice system and fight for reproductive rights. Their groundbreaking case helps pave the way for the 1975 Veil Act, which legalizes abortion in France.
