Cathcart Cemetery Summer Tour Programme
Join the Friends of Cathcart Cemetery for a tour of this magnificent late Victorian Garden Cemetery in the Southside of Glasgow. During the tour, we'll explore how the Cemetery came to be and the Victorian attitude to death, visit the graves of some of the notable people buried there, including pioneers of Scottish and world Football, artists, musicians, and vaudeville acts and invite you to think about how you can help Cathcart Cemetery thrive in the 21st century.
Meeting place: Outside the Gatehouse, 100 Brenfield Road, G44 3JW

- We would remind tour-goers to maintain social distancing where ever possible.
- Spaces on the tour are limited to 20 people.
- Face-coverings and hand-gels will be available from our guides
Accessibility
Unfortunately, parts of the Cemetery are not accessible to wheelchair users or those with mobility issues. We would recommend stout footwear, as areas may be muddy.
There are no on-site toilets and no food or drink is available.
The Friends of Cathcart Cemetery are part of Visit Scotland's Good to Go Certification Scheme.

With your help, we can continue to explore the stories of Cathcart Cemetery and ensure that the Cemetery is a place of local heritage, remembrance and wellbeing.
