This workshop is for all ages
Join us for a FREE workshop with an introduction to tree identification, natural material foraging and personality development for tree faces. During Workshop basic pre-sculpted faces will be installed on trees then enhanced with leaves, mushrooms, bark, moss, grasses and other found materials to help them come alive. Tree faces can be worked in groups like families, friends, clubs or co-workers.
This is a come and go event. It is fine to arrive and leave at your convenience!

The ENCHANTED FOREST is an immersive art installation presented by Friends of Chakchiuma Swamp at Lee Tartt Nature Preserve celebrating creativity, curiosity and nature set for Saturday Nov 2, 2024.
This collaborative project connects professional artists with community members through a series of creative workshops. The creations made by community members during workshops will be curated and installed by a team of artists and volunteers along the trails at Lee Tartt Nature Preserve. These events for all ages are designed to inspire participants to interact with nature, offering Mississippi flora and fauna as a way to launch the imagination for the fabrication of artworks throughout the summer and fall of 2024.
