"Windows flung right open, autumn air, jacket round my shoulders is yours" ๐ŸชŸ๐Ÿงฅ๐Ÿ‚

Hello sweet Friends of Dorothea,

August has slipped away like a bottle of wine,ย and it's time to usher in cosy season for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere.

This will be an opportunity to come together for a hybrid event that acknowledges the Autumn Equinox (technically happening two days later,ย Wednesday the 23rd).ย

* For those who would come to this event but are unable to due to financial barriers, please email me to join our sponsored access list for these events or join the waiting listโค๏ธ

We will follow this structure:

  • Welcome and answering check in questions in the chat, an invitation to light a candle or incense to open the space
  • A moment of acknowledging the themes of Autumn and what it can symbolise for each of us or ask us to consider about our own lives right now
  • A reflection/visualisation on stepping over this seasonal threshold into Autumn
  • An opportunity to pull tarot cards for this seasonal transition (depending on numbers this will be in the main group or in break out rooms)
  • Body Doubling with an Autumnal Taylor playlist as we do activities that will prepare each of us for this season - these could range from crafting, buying appropriate wet-weather gear, getting your cardigans out from under your bed and whispering to them "you're my favourite" etc etc
  • A closing ritual of naming intentions/desires for this season

What to expect:

  • A Zoom room with Gaylors, encouraged to have your camera on for the ritual partsย but I understand some people may not be able to do this
  • A visualisation facilitated by Tess (option to close your eyes or lower your gaze)
  • An invitation to light a candle or another way of making your physical space feel sacred for you
  • Depending on the group size, some break-out rooms for a short while so that people have a bit more time to share their feelings with the community

What to bring:

  • A candle (or something similar) to create a sacred space together
  • A notebook, pen and paper - maybe some colours like crayons, pens if you're creatively inclined in that way!
  • Water, snacks, comfortable clothes

If you've got any questions, please don't hesitate to email me at friendsofdorothea@gmail.com

**This event will only go ahead if I have enough people registered. In the scenario where we don't have enough people registered, I'll email you 5 hours before the event and everyone will receive a full refund.

Can't wait to share this space with you all!
Love,
Tess (she/they)
