Description
Keith Walker takes us through a journey along Dundee's old shoreline at Magdalen Yard from Wills Brae to the Nethergate. Keith will bring to life 18th and 19th century Dundee with his reconstruction drawings and tales of life and buildings long gone. Featuring a precursor to the Botanic Gardens from the 1770s, the Crescent House, the old sea walls and cottages on Roseangle of the hardworking population. He will then look at Seabraes moving along to the old defensive walls at the Nethergate.
Doors open from 12.30pm at the Glasite Hall on King Street. Please enter from the churchyard or the car park (the lift is available from both sides but the accessible door is at the car park entrance). You DO NOT need to bring a printed ticket.
Please note that parking is not available for visitors.
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available to purchase before the talk. Entry to the talks are free but if you would like to make a donation towards the hire of the hall, there will be a donations tin available.
