Madagascar split from the continent of Africa over 90 million years ago, so there has been plenty of time for speciation. The talk is based on the 3-week visit to the island by Dr Ori Fragman-Sapir (Scientific Director of the Jerusalem Botanical Gardens) in September 2019, when he explored the wonders of the island. We will be introduced to the island's varied landscapes, plants, animals and people and talk about the threats to nature in this part of the world.
This talk was given on Zoom on Sunday 10 October 2021.
