Singers for Palestine: Nablus live-link

Sheffield Nablus Twinning Assn (SNTA) with Friends of Nablus & Surrounding Areas (FONSA) are holding the 4th Sheffield/Nablus live-link event featuring 'Singers for Palestine', a pop-up choir, joining Tadhamon Singers .You can join the pop-up choir at their workshop/rehearsal on Sunday 4th Oct 1:30 - 4:30pm at 'Mary St live' to learn or refresh  'Lullaby - Together for Palestine' and 'Oh Freedom/L'Hurriya Jaya', led by Helen Lyle with Kate Thomas singing solo and fun street solidarity songs with Janet Wood, choir leader for Tadhamon Singers, to sing at future events, boycotts, rallies and protests.  Tea and cake available! The 4th Nablus livelink is on Sat Oct 17th 5:30-7pm at Crookes Social Club.  'Singers for Palestine' will join Tadhamon Singers  while connecting live with musicians, poets and organisations in Nablus for a powerful connection through song.
Tickets for singers for the workshop/rehearsal on 4th and for the 5:30 - 7pm live-link event on 17th are free though donations are welcome. Come and make the joy and solidarity of this summer's Big Sing in Meersbrook Park happen again!
After 7pm at the live-link there will be food (£7/£5) and an art auction, and from 8pm you can enjoy the rest of the evening hosted by JuJu for Palestine with dance band Kiziah and the King and support act Tavira, tickets (£10/£15).

As well as showing Nablus the solidarity from Sheffield, we are also raising funds to support 3 brilliant community development projects in Nablus: a girls football team in New Askar refugee camp; a young boys football team in the Old City; and a co-working space for young people at SEEDS Assn for Development and Culture, with the support of the Palestinian Working Women’s Development Society. All ticket money from online purchases goes to these Nablus projects.
