Sheffield Nablus live-link performance in its 4th year!

Did you come last year? It's happening again - the annual Sheffield Nablus live-link event where local performers generously give their time to act in solidarity with those in Nablus and surrounding areas. The live-link will run from 5:30 - 7pm (if the situation allows) and will feature performers including the Nablus Youth band 'Bozoor', Nablus poet Saed Abu-Hijleh and updates about the Nablus situation, along with Sheffield performers including the large pop-up 'Singers for Palestine' choir supporting Tadhamon Singers. Sile Sibanda will be our MC taking us through the evening.
From 7pm there will be food (£7/£5 pay on night) by Open Kitchen, an art auction and from 8pm hosted by Juju for Palestine you can dance the night away with two amazing local bands. Kiziah and the Kings are headlining, with a red hot fusion of reggae, funk and soul -  Kiziah's energetic vocals are backed by a star-studded band featuring a three-piece brass section. They are supported by Tavira, a vibrant eight-piece funk, soul and reggae band. To complete an evening of exceptional talent, we have the JuJu club spinning discs with DJ Alan Deadman and DJ Issa Dancer. Come and support live music and local talent - it'll be a great night for a great cause! Organised by Sheffield Nablus Twinning Association (SNTA) in partnership with Friends of Nablus and surroundings areas (FONSA).

The generosity of all these musicians sharing their time and talent is such a privilege for us, and we hope we can do them proud by showing what support there is in Sheffield for Nablus and that we can support further links and the development of future projects.  All money from online tickets sales will be used to support 3 brilliant community development projects in Nablus: A girls’ football team in New Askar refugee camp; a young boys’ football team in the Old City; a co-working space at SEEDS, with the support of the Palestinian Working Women’s Development Society.
