Olveston Fun Run

Organised by Olveston School Fun Run Committee and FOOS. With thanks to Thornbury Running Club for the loan of equipment and local landowners for the use of their bridleways / footpaths.

A 1km run for younger children around the school grounds and a single lap off-road course of approximately 5km along footpaths and bridleways of Olveston. Both start at Olveston School.

• Registration from 09:00 at Olveston School 
• 1km start at 10:00
• 5km start at 10:30 

We encourage all participants to buy a ticket to pre-register for the event as the entry fee is cheaper and will save time on the race day. However, if you do decide to enter on the day then please allow plenty of time for this.

There will be marshals on the route but the committee cannot take responsibility for individual children. Anyone under 18 who runs the 5k race alone does so at the responsibility of their parents. We do not advise that Key Stage 1 children run alone.

We suggest that only Key Stage 1 children and younger take part in the 1k. All children joining the 1k race must be accompanied by an adult at the school but not necessarily running with them. Please write a parent’s mobile phone number on any under 18’s race number.

By buying tickets: I agree to comply with the rules of this Fun Run. I will not participate in the run unless I am fit enough to complete the Run. I am taking part at my own risk and the promoters or any person involved in the organisation of the event are not responsible for my well-being. I have no objection to my details being held on computer or paper by the committee for the organisation of the event and notification of future fund raising events.
