Layers of History

Ever wonder how secrets stay buried for centuries? Layers of History is a hands-on workshop where you will learn to decode the past by leaving your mark in the soil.

• Construct the Site: Build a simulated archaeological site layer by layer. Each participant is assigned a historic role and instructed to affect the soil!
• Play Detective: Learn to "read" soil stains and dirt patterns to solve history’s mysteries.
• Curate the Clues: Select artifacts that represent historic lives and decide how they are buried.

This workshop is suitable for all ages.
