Waistcoat Workshop

Spend a winter weekend exploring the craft of 18th-century clothing! Join living historian Steve Krentler, who has been making period clothing since 1976, for a relaxed, hands-on workshop covering how to cut, assemble, fit, and finish a waistcoat. Bring your own pattern or use one provided by the instructor as you develop your sewing skills in a supportive setting.

Participants should have basic sewing experience and bring their fabric, sewing tools, supplies, and measurements for the intended wearer. While waistcoats may not be completed during the workshop, participants will leave with their project underway and the knowledge to finish it at home.
