(Webinar) The Conservation of Ascension Island with the Ascension Island Heritage Society

Join us for a live webinar from Ascension Island. We will be talking with the Ascension Island Association who run the museum on the island, who will be presenting and discussing the conservation of the island, as well as taking questions from the audience. 

Ascension Island Heritage Society was formally established in 1966 and is run by a volunteer committee, Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, curators and lay committee members. All volunteers work full time on Island, and dedicate their spare time to supporting the running of the museum, restoration of historical artifacts on the Island, and development of new exhibits. The famous letterbox walks are also maintained by the heritage society which are very popular among island residents and visitors. After the successful development of a new museum cafe and expansion of the giftshop in March 2025, the museum will focus on the development of new exhibits to continue to gain interest from the community during 2026.
