About the Museum:
Website: www.museum.ky
The Cayman Islands National Museum is the national institution dedicated to preserving, interpreting, and sharing the natural, cultural, and artistic heritage of the Cayman Islands. Through dynamic programmes, exhibitions and collections, the National Museum serves as the living connection to Cayman’s past, helping ensure that future generations can experience and understand the Islands’ unique heritage. Established in 1979 and opened to the public in 1990, the National Museum is housed in the historic Old Courts Building at 64 Seafarers Way in George Town; the oldest surviving public building in the Cayman Islands and itself an important part of our national heritage. Today, the Museum welcomes residents and visitors to explore Cayman’s story through its galleries, collections, educational programmes, and changing exhibitions, while creating opportunities to connect with the people, places, traditions, and natural environment that have shaped the Cayman Islands.
