Pianist Ivan Gusev from Kazakhstan/Russia has performed extensively in Russia, Europe and the U.S. Ivan is a winner of many international piano competitions. He graduated from Moscow State Conservatory with a Master’s degree with highest honors and completed a second Master’s program at Mannes Schools of Music at the New School in New York.
This will be the artist's third appearance at the Stone Church Cultural Center, and his first solo piano concert in Gilbertville. W.A. Mozart: Piano Sonata in F K332 (c.1783)
W.A. Mozart: Piano Sonata in B-flat K333 (c.1784)
Franz Schubert: Sonata D960 in B-flat (1828)
These mature works of Mozart and Schubert represent the flowering of their careers. Mozart died at 35 in 1791. Schubert, who was born six years after Mozart's death, died at 31 in 1828.
