Following the first successful fund raising evening event, the next is with Imogen-Holmes-Roe, The Whitworth and co-curator of Albrecht Dürer’s Material World Exhibition in 2023,who  will discuss the collecting of Dürer’s art in the north west of England on Thursday 7 December 2022  at 5pm by zoom.

Focusing on Thomas D Barlow, former Whitworth Director and a founder of the Friends of the Whitworth, she will look at the role of local collectors – many themselves involved in trade, industry and design – in amassing one of the country’s most significant holdings of this Renaissance artist’s graphic work.
