Human-led AI
A practical 3-part online workshop series for small-business owners and creatives on AI search visibility, using AI responsibly and amplifying what makes you distinct.
AI is changing how people find and understand your business 🔎
Alongside traditional search engines, AI-generated answers, recommendations and summaries are growing. The answer is not to just produce more content, automate everything or abandon SEO.
Instead, small businesses need to understand how online visibility is changing, decide where AI genuinely deserves a place in their work, and how to use it responsibly without compromising their values.
This workshop series will help you make these decisions and follow a practical 3-stage journey:
- Be Found: Find out how AI-assisted search is changing online visibility and learn practical ways to help discoverability.
- Use AI Responsibly: Explore where AI deserves a place in your work and develop clear boundaries on how you use it.
- Amplify Your Work: Use AI to support you while keeping your unique thinking and judgement.
The workshop series takes place online over 3 consecutive weeks:
Tuesday 22nd, 29th September and 6th October from 6.30 to 8.30 pm.
3 Workshops. 3 Evenings. 3 Outcomes
WORKSHOP 1: Be Found 🔎
Understand how AI search visibility differs from and works alongside traditional SEO.
22nd September 6.30 - 8.30pm
People are asking AI tools direct questions to find businesses and receiving summarised answers, recommendations and links.
This workshop introduces AI search optimisation, sometimes called AIO, and explores what it means for a small business.
You will explore:
- How AI-assisted search is changing the way people find information
- The difference between traditional SEO and AIO
- How your unique POV and expertise can support discoverability
- The role of source content, structure and credibility
- How to clarify your online messaging and priority areas to improve AIO
- Practical AIO dos and don’ts
At the end of the workshop, you will have a clearer understanding of how SEO and AIO work together, an initial review of your current messaging and a practical checklist to help identify priority improvements.
WORKSHOP 2: Use AI Responsibly 🌍
Create a values-led, ethical and lower-waste approach to using AI.
29th September 6.30-8.30pm
AI can save time and support useful work. It also raises legitimate questions about energy and resource use, privacy, copyright, bias, accuracy and the treatment of human creative work.
This workshop will help you consider where AI adds enough value to justify its use. It invites discussion where human intervention, an alternative tool or a non-AI method may be more appropriate.
You will explore:
- Environmental considerations behind generative AI
- How to use AI selectively rather than by default
- Privacy, confidentiality and governance
- Copyright, attribution and the use of other people’s creative work
- Reducing unnecessary prompts, duplication and low-value output
- Keeping human responsibility at the centre of the process
At the end of the workshop, you will have a clearer understanding of the main ethical, environmental and human considerations, an initial review of how AI currently fits within your work and a starting point for developing your own human-led code of practice.
WORKSHOP 3: Amplify Your Work 📈
Use AI to save time while keeping your ideas, experience and point of view.
6th October 6.30-8.30pm
AI can help organise, develop and repurpose your work, however when it is used without strong source material or human judgement, it can be generic and disconnected from the person behind it.
This workshop leads with your knowledge, experience and ideas - not with a blank prompt.
You will explore:
- Strong source ideas and capturing your thinking without AI
- Organising one source idea into several content formats
- Using AI to develop and expand your ideas
- Comprehensive personalised prompting
- Streamlining content creation responsibly
- Where to use AI and where human input should remain central
At the end of the workshop, you will have a clearer sense of what makes a strong source idea, how AI can support its development and a starting point for a human-led content workflow that you can continue refining.

What human-led AI means 👩🏽💻
Let your knowledge, values and judgement lead.

About your host:
Su Dodd is an entrepreneur, qualified teacher and facilitator with experience creating and running values-led businesses.
Her approach combines practical teaching with critical conversation, helping people understand new tools without losing sight of human judgement, meaningful work and the wider consequences of how technology is used.
Rather than teaching AI as the answer to every business problem, Su focuses on where it can add genuine value, where caution is needed and how people can retain ownership of their ideas, voice and decisions.

AI is changing how information is discovered and how content is produced. This series will help you respond without trying to become an AI expert, publishing content for the sake of it, or allowing a tool to replace your knowledge, POV and unique perspective.
Learn how to make your expertise easier to find, create clearer boundaries around your AI use, and develop content with AI supporting the process, not imitating or replacing you.
