My Life as Frome & East Somerset's MP

Anna Sabine, was elected to Parliament as MP for Frome & East Somerset in 2024. In September 2025, Anna was made Lib Dem spokesperson for the Department of Culture, Media and Sport; she is on the Standards and Privileges Committees, and she sits on a range of All Party Parliamentary Groups on issues ranging from suicide and self-harm prevention, to radiotherapy, and music education.

Anna grew up in Hampshire and studied Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at Oxford and had a career in business and the charity sector before becoming our MP.

Anna will reflect on her experience of becoming an MP from first experiences in that historic labyrinthine building, learning how to do the job and even more importantly how to get things done. She will, then, focus on more local matters that have taken her time, and matters that constituents are raising more recently.
