Retrofit: Next Steps
Tue 11 Jun 2024 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM BST
Frome Town Hall, BA11 1EB
Description
Community Retrofit Lead Sally Richards is hosting the second of a series of Frome Community Retrofit talks on Tuesday 11th June, 7:30pm - 9pm at Frome Town Hall. You don't need to have come to the first talk to benefit from this one - Sally will be able to answer any questions you have about what retrofitting is and how to get started.
Retrofit events are supported by the Centre for Sustainable Energy in Bristol who have decades of experience of providing help to people who are in fuel poverty and advising communities on how to transition towards Net Zero.
Retrofitting is a term which describes the process of carrying out refurbishment, with the aim of making buildings as comfortable, healthy, and efficient in terms of energy use, and carbon emissions as possible. Having a retrofit assessment through the retrofit project is the first step along the journey, but where do you go next and who can help you along the way? We will be talking about next steps, how to access funding, where to find further advice and how to find a builder or an expert to help you on your way.
Retrofit events are all about sharing specialist knowledge, creating a retrofit community, and signposting opportunities for local building professionals, so come along if you are looking for help or if you are working in retrofitting services.
Jo Morris will also be talking about our free energy efficiency advice service at Frome Town Council and how we can offer practical support to residents to help save money on bills.
