Somerset is experiencing increased risks from sea level rise and unpredictable weather patterns that lead to flooding, drought and wildfires.
Greenhouse gas emissions are still on the rise. This means that the climate will continue to change around us.
How do we adapt to these changes?
Join Frome Town Council and Somerset Wildlife Trust for Act to Adapt, the first in a series of events that will culminate later in the year with the launch of a Climate Adaptation Plan for our community.
Everyone is welcome! Please join us to discuss how Frome can adapt to local climate impacts.
In the summers we may need more shady areas and plans for staying cool. In the winters we may need improved flood defences. What else should we be doing?
How can we strengthen our community so we are best able to step up to the new challenges?
Please join us as we take a good look at the data and projections for our area and plan a way forward together.
