Frome's Missing Links Family Explore Day
On Saturday 26th May we will be running a shuttle bus service to Great Elm where families can enjoy the traffic-free Colliers Way on foot or by bike; with pushchairs, wheelchairs or scooters. The shuttle service will pick up from Justice Lane near the Market Yard public toilets and Black Swan Arts. Participants will travel in a Mendip Community Transport minibus and any bikes will be taken in the Frome Town Council van. A return service will be running too, or if you're feeling up to it you can walk or cycle home!
The local Greener Greenways Ecology Group will be running events along the path to show the diverse range of wildlife found there and to share the work they are doing to encourage biodiversity.
This event is being organised by Frome's Missing Links, with support from Frome Town Council, to highlight the beautiful route sitting on our doorstep that is currently not linked to the centre of Frome. Frome's Missing Links are raising money to complete the missing section of path which would provide an accessible, flat and traffic-free route for everyone to enjoy.
