Safeguarding and boundaries for VCSFE groups

Freedom within limits - balancing protection and safety alongside freedom and choice in our work

Katherine Cox, Director of Services for Trauma Foundation South West, will be facilitating this training opportunity for local VCSFE groups. 

Working within limitations whilst prioritising service user choice and freedom is a complicated but crucial area to navigate, and maybe especially so when working in smaller, grassroots, responsive community groups.

In this session, we will be looking at:

• Keeping people safe whilst prioritising choice and freedom - how do we navigate safeguarding and client risk whilst working in ways which centre service user choice and collaboration?
• Working within resource limitations, personal limitations and professional / organisational constraints in ways which also centre flexibility, responsiveness and freedom grassroots
