Badge Making Workshop FROM THE GROUND STUDIO

Join us and learn to make unique and creative badges that you can take home with you. We will use a range of recycled and home made materials. Led by local artist Matilda Strong.

We are an open collective of young artists creating as a means for active hope, curating exhibitions and workshops to build community and spotlight emerging artists.

As part of our third public exhibition, held as part of art wave 2026 at the marine workshops we will be hosting a series of free creative workshops, these workshops are part of our vision for art as a tool for building community and inspiring action. The workshops are open for anyone of any age or ability. 

Workshops have limited places so please book tickets in advance, drop in places are not guaranteed. IMPORTANT, ONLY BOOK A TICKET IF YOU ARE CERTAIN YOU WILL BE ABLE TO ATTEND, to avoid leaving empty places in workshops. Children under 14 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Workshops will be held in the exhibition space (Atrium Gallery, Marine Workshops Newhaven) , the first gallery space on the left when you enter the building. They will run for approximately 1.5 hours each.
