Yay Christmas is coming! 

BIG Christmas Sing concert in Essex for all our Essex, Kent and London choirs together - HOW EXCITING IS THIS?!

It's been an AMAZING year for us so far with BGT, singing in London and winning a National Entertainment Award!  Wow we can't wait to show you all off singing together at Christmas.    Please book your spot to let us know you will be performing with us.  For your family/friends - they can purchase their audience tickets here!

BIG SING CHOIR MEMBERS ONLY: PLEASE let us know if YOU can commit to helping us make this happen by booking your performance space here and letting us know if you can help by inviting your friends/family. The BIG Christmas Sing will be led by Gemma and Howard. Please select Soprano, Alto or Tenor when you book your space according to your voice. THANKS!

DETAILS:

LOCATION: The Brentwood Centre, Doddinghurst Road, Pilgrims Hatch, Brentwood CM15 9NN

PARKING: available on site - please car share where possible. Choir members please park BEHIND the venue in the car park which is a short walk from the back entrance - use this map please.  Follow the red link to the car park area and the blue line to the back door of the hall.  (If you are bringing guests with you they may only enter through the main building and the doors don't open until 7pm).

PLEASE ARRIVE BY: 5.30 pm (if you can't get there by then - just come when you can)

SOUNDCHECK: 6pm
DOORS OPEN: 7pm
SHOW TIME: 7:30pm

ON ARRIVAL YOU ARE WELCOME TO TAKE A SEAT IN THE AUDIENCE WHILST YOU AWAIT THE SOUND CHECK BUT PLEASE AVOID SITTING OR PLACING ANY BELONGINGS IN THE FRONT ROW WHICH WILL ALREADY BE LABELLED READY FOR THE EVENING.  THANKS FOR YOUR HELP WITH THIS.

If there are songs you do not know yet and will want to sit out for - then you may sit in either section A* or C* at the extreme left and right of the audience which are reserved for choir members only.

There will be choir risers in stage so we can position you all to be seen. And we will be filming the show too.

The soundcheck is a really important time to get the sound levels right. Expect to hear feedback, loud noises as the engineers get the levels right. Also it takes time to get the levels in the monitors right so you can hear the music. Please just be patient, it is a process and we will need you to be quiet and only sing when directed so we can get the best sound for the show.

Guidelines for the event: 

• We are expecting over 300 choir members to be performing tomorrow night so please do help us by keeping all movement in the show as quiet as possible - and please do not talk in between songs.
• Please refrain from wearing perfume at this event as some choir members have allergies thank you.
• If you are unable to stand for our songs then let your tutor know and we will provide a chair in a side section.
• You will have a Green Room to put your bags and coats this will be located through the doors behind the stage.
• Please come dressed ready to perform - there are no changing facilities on site - the green room is just to leave belongings in.
• If there are any problems on the day please only talk the tutors and they will sort them out.
• WATER: you may take a bottle of water (with a lid) on stage. (no hot drinks please). NO METAL BOTTLES PLEASE.
• SOLOS: We will be asking our tutors to sing the solos so we get to hear their amazing voices again. Also it's impossible for us to choose choir members when so many of you sing them (what a great problem to have!)
• Most of all please help one another, guide each other, be considerate and be kind to each other - we are family!

UNIFORM: Dressy Black with WHITE! We are trying a new look as we loved how the choir looked on stage at BGT. So please wear your dressy back but team it up with something white: eg: white shirt, white blouse, white jacket, white scarf, white tie, white jewellery... whatever white accessory you can find.  Dressy black and WHITE is INSTEAD of our previous Black and silver look that we did last year.

If have only just joined us and belong to our newer choirs or our SOUL Choirs then you wont know all of these songs. Your tutors will tell you in your rehearsals what ones you are singing. For the songs you do not know you will be seated in the audience.
