THE BIG CHRISTMAS SING 2024!

Yay Christmas is coming!  Here's everything you need to know for this Christmas event in Rugby! 

What an AMAZING journey we have enjoyed at The BIG Sing since being on Britain's Got Talent; singing at iconic venues like Windsor Castle and at many festivals and concert halls around the country AND winning a National Entertainment Award which means we are performing at the Indigo O2 in November! BUT CHRISTMAS time is our FAVOURITE! Wow we can't wait to show you all off singing on our special Christmas Tour this year. Please book your spot to let us know you will be performing with us. Family and friends will need to book their audience tickets directly with the venue - using the ticket link below.  

As last year, The BIG Sing choir will be joined by some special guest solo singers to perform in Rugby's established Christmas special! 

BIG SING CHOIR MEMBERS ONLY: You need to be a current BIG Sing choir member actively attending rehearsals weekly and you need to be able to commit to attending at least THREE rehearsals in the month prior to this event to book your space to perform with us at this special festive concert which will be led by Gemma and Howard. Please select Soprano, Alto or Tenor when you book your space according to your voice. !

DETAILS:

LOCATION: The BENN Hall, Newbold Road, Rugby CV21 2LN 

PARKING: Park in Newbold Road car park, 27 Newbold Rd, Rugby CV21 2LX or in the surrounding areas..

UNIFORM: DRESSY! TOP HALF: White (e.g. top, blouse, shirt, blazer, jacket); BOTTOM HALF: Black (e.g. trousers, skirt) BLACK Shoes.

TIMINGS: PLEASE ARRIVE BY: 5.00 pm

SOUNDCHECK: 5.30 pm
DOORS OPEN: 7pm
SHOW TIME: 7:30pm First half 7.30-8.15 pm Interval 8.15-8.45 pm Second half 8.45-9.30 pm

The soundcheck is a really important time to get the sound levels right. Expect to hear feedback, loud noises as the engineers get the levels right. Also it takes time to get the levels in the monitors right so you can hear the music. Please just be patient, it is a process and we will need you to be quiet and only sing when directed so we can get the best sound for the show.

Please do help us by keeping all movement in the show as quiet as possible - and please do not talk in between songs. If you are unable to stand for our songs then let your tutor know and we will provide a chair.

You will have a Green Room to put your bags and coats.

If there are any problems on the day please only talk to our tutors and they will sort them out.

WATER: you may take a bottle of water (with a lid) on stage. (no hot drinks please)

Most of all please help one another, guide each other, be considerate and be kind to each other - we are family!
