We are absolutely THRILLED to announce that our special guest at the Choir Exchange will be none other than the sensational Taryn Charles – yes, the powerhouse voice from Britain’s Got Talent who won the Golden Buzzer and wowed the nation all the way to the semi-finals! 🎉

Since then, Taryn has been touring the UK as the star of Whitney – Performed by Candlelight, leaving audiences completely spellbound with her stunning renditions of Whitney Houston classics. And now… she’s coming to sing with US! 🎤🔥

After following The BIG Sing since our own BGT journey, Taryn reached out to say how much she’d love to join forces – and of course, we jumped at the chance. This is going to be something truly special.

We’ll be learning Whitney’s uplifting anthem “I Look to You” (a BIG Sing favourite, freshly revamped by Howard ✨). Together we’ll record our vocals, then Taryn will join us live to sing, film, and create a video you’ll never forget.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to raise your voice alongside an incredible artist, share in the magic, and make memories together as a choir family. 💛

WHO CAN BOOK THIS EVENT? You may book to take part in this event if you are currently actively attending choir rehearsals each week.

UNIFORM: Please wear your choir uniform ready to be filmed: black/gold t-shirts (any design), black bottoms.

SONG: I Look To You - Whitney Houston   The lyrics are now available in Dropbox - please downloand print from there if you want printed lyrics.

FILMING: our videographer Mike will be with us to film a music video with Taryn

VENUE: Theatre, Greensward School, Greensward Lane, Hockley, Essex SS5 5HG  See location online here.

Parking: plenty parking available onsite.  Please car share as much as possible.

Location of theatre: Once you have parked in the main car park, do not head back to reception through the car park but enter via the pedestrian gate and walk safely along the inside to the side entrance to the theatre.  Walk through this gate:

Keep left and go passed the next building and then aim for these double doors which take you into the corridor that leads straight ahead to the theatre.  For wheelchair access turn right just inside the double doors and go down the corridor until you see the ramp on the left and then access the theatre that way.

Timings:  11 am to 3pm.  

Tickets: Adults £15 plus booking fees Students £10 plus booking fees.  (included for annual pass holders! - use ticket code to book ) 

Midlands Coach:  £40 per person for coach and workshop together.

MIDLANDS COACH: Please be at your boarding point 15 minutes prior to leaving and check in with your coach leaders before getting on board: Coach Leaders:  Asda/Julie Williams ; Rugby/Naomi 

Pick up 1: 0730: Asda bus stop, Leamington CV31 1YD - park in Asda car park we have permission; Pick up 2: 08.10 Elliot's Field bus stop, Leicester Rd, Rugby CV21 1SR - Park in Sofology car park ( see location here).  There will be a comfort stop en route for 15 minutes.

Please bring a packed lunch snack so that you can keep up your energy during the afternoon.

There will be refreshments available in the break and a bucket so we can raise some money for SOUL too.  CAKE DONATIONS WELCOME PLEASE!
