Join us to sing at this different event.  HOW EXCITING IS THIS?!

INVITED TO BOOK ONLY 

How fantastic that we have been asked to perform at the Iceland Awards Ceremony at the prestigious Chester Cathedral.  They want us to open with a flash mob and then perform as part of their evening.  Soooo exciting!  Can you make it?  This is on a MONDAY!  

INVITED CHOIR MEMBERS ONLY: If you previously registered interest to attend this event and have now received a personal invitation to book to perform at this event, then you may now book your space.

DETAILS:

LOCATION: Chester Cathedral, St Werburgh St, Chester CH1 2DY

COACH TRAVEL: We are delighted that we are able to offer the coach at a subsidised price for this on at £15 pp plus booking fee. Please be at your coach pick up points 15 minutes prior to boarding. Please car share to coach pick up points where possible. BEFORE boarding the coach, please check in with your coach team leaders.  A toilet is available on board and we may have a comfort stop en route subject to time.  You may eat on the coach but please do not bring any 'smelly' food and take all your rubbish away with you.  No alcohol is allowed on board.

Pick up 1: 12.30 pm Asda bus stop, Chesterton Drive, Sydenham, Leamington Spa CV31 1YD

Pick up 2: 1.15 pm  Elliots Field bus stop, Leicester Rd, Rugby, CV21 1SR  please park in Sofology car park as usual.

Coaches will depart to return asap after we finish performing and should be home around midnight.

UNIFORM : Choir: Smart Bright coloured shirts/tops (like BGT uniform) with black bottoms 

UNIFORM:  'Guests':  We will be asking some choir members to dress as 'guests'  which means wear summer garden party outfits (no formal wear but no trainers, sweatshirts or jeans)  so that we can do a flashmob! 

TIMINGS: 

3.30pm     Big Sing arrival (drop bags in refectory (Green room) comfort break etc)

4pm       Sound check/mini position rehearsal (please note there will be a sound check by the evening band from 3.30-4pm)

4.30pm     Sound check end. Choir to return to refectory where a selection of sandwiches and water/tea & coffee will be available

6.30pm     Event guests start arriving by coach for the event reception (some Big Sing members to join as 'guests')

6.45pm     Remainder of Choir and Directors to take positions

7pm        Brighter Day song + 2 other songs 

7.15pm     Guests take seats, presenter welcome and intro

7.25pm     Audience participation song with Big Sing as icebreaker

7.30pm     Big Sing Choir to exit stage 🙂

It's going to be a very exciting event - please just help one another, guide each other and be considerate - we are family.  Gemma will decide who will dress as 'audience' members leading up to the event and let you konw.

FOOD/REFRESHMENTS: Please bring whatever food you need just for the coach.  We will be fed at the venue!
