🌟 Sing with Tony Momrelle – Another amazing opportunity! 🌟

As you all know, our regional Choir Exchanges are great highlights of our year. It’s where we swap areas – Midlands, Kent and Essex – and spend the day together in a massive workshop, uniting voices, building friendships and reminding ourselves that we are ONE choir across three regions.

But this year’s Midland's Choir Exchange on 25th July  is going to be something a little different …

🤍✨ We are absolutely thrilled to welcome the incredible Tony Momrelle as our special guest.  How fantastic is that?

Widely regarded as one of the UK’s finest soul singers, Tony is an internationally acclaimed vocalist, songwriter and performer whose extraordinary career has seen him share stages and recording studios with some of the biggest names in music, including Sade, Whitney Houston, Chaka Khan, Gloria Estefan, Celine Dion, Janet Jackson, Andrea Bocelli, Gary Barlow and Gwen Stefani.

For over sixteen years, Tony was the lead male vocalist with legendary British acid-jazz band Incognito, captivating audiences around the world with his stunning voice, infectious energy and world-class musicianship. Since launching his solo career, he has continued to earn widespread acclaim, with The Guardian famously describing him as “The 21st Century Stevie Wonder.”

Known for his soulful vocals, uplifting spirit and unforgettable live performances, Tony brings a unique blend of soul, jazz, funk and gospel influences that have made him a favourite with audiences across Europe, Asia, Australia and beyond.

This is a very special opportunity us to create a music video with Tony Momrelle! We will be showing him our version of LOVE'S IN NEED and he will be adding his AMAZING vocals to our arrangement. So join us and become video superstars for the day! You'll also be a part of a new choir photoshoot and lots of footage for our socials.

During this session you can expect:
✨ To be part of a photo shoot with the choir
✨ A performance and video shoot with Tony Momrelle
✨ Filming the song for socials 
✨ A powerful, uplifting shared musical experience

Due to the constraints of the venue, spaces are limited, so please book your spot as soon as possible — we don’t want anyone to miss out on this incredible opportunity.

What is the event? Video and Photoshoot  led by Howard and Gemma with  special guest Tony Momrelle.

What are the logistics? You can travel by coach or make your own way (MOW)

Coach tickets: are £30 pp.  You need to select a coach AND workshop ticket when you check out.

What will be the cost of this?   Usually our Choir Exchanges are £15 each but we have extra costs to pay to cover including the special venue we are using for this and the video/photography team so we have had to reflect that in the ticket prices which are: The whole day is costing over £2.5k so we have high costs - but it's going to be so worth it!

PARKING - There is limited parking at the venue but a public car park is just a five min walk away - we will send you the details asap

PAYG or Monthly RP choir members: £20 per person (no concessions) plus booking fee.

Annual Passholder: £5 per person. plus booking fee. Use the usual code to book these tickets please.

What are we singing? Love's In Need

Who is eligible?   To be eligible to book this event, please make sure you meet the following criteria:

• You are a regular member of a BIG Sing Community Choir .
• You are available for the  day on  Saturday 25th July to travel by coach to Coventry or make your own way.
• You are actively attending rehearsals and understand that this is a GOLD event, meaning 3 out of the 4 rehearsals prior to the event should be attended

What are the next steps? There are limited spaces for this event due to space.

TIMINGS: TBC to finish by 5pm - the coach will arrive at Midday 

Timetable for day: WILL BE UPDATED HERE ONCE FINALISED.

FOOD/REFRESHMENTS: Please bring whatever food you need for the day with you. We will provide tea and coffee. Please donate some cake too!
