The BIG Sing Secret Day is back... and it's time to secure your place!

Last year we headed to London for an unforgettable day of singing, laughter, surprises and incredible performances. But where will we be this year? 🤔✨

Well... that's a SECRET! 🤫

What we can tell you is that our team is already busy working behind the scenes to organise another amazing BIG Sing experience. We're arranging performance venues, planning the day and creating what promises to be one of the highlights of our year! 🎶❤️

For just £36 per person, you'll enjoy what is quite possibly the best value day out of the year, with the cost helping to cover coaches and the many other expenses involved in making this special day happen.

Who Can Book?

✅ Current BIG Sing choir members only

To take part in the performances, members must have attended at least 3 of the 4 rehearsals immediately prior to Secret Day. This helps ensure everyone feels confident and prepared for the performances on the day.

CHOIR MEMBER GUIDELINES FOR THE DAY: Teams: Everyone will be placed in a small team with a team leader. Please note your team and team leader's name from the coach lists below. It is your responsibility to be at each venue/event on time and check in with your team leaders. The coaches cannot wait for anyone who is late as we have time constraints. So if you miss the coach between venues, it is your responsibility to get yourself to the next venue and check in there.  Please treat all choir members with respect during the day, be kind and helpful to one another.  We are one!  Please e-mail info@big-sing.com if you have any queries about this. 

UNIFORM: Please wear your BIG Sing uniform - BIG Sing black t-shirts with gold logo, black bottoms and BIG Sing hoodies. Comfortable shoes!

COACHES: Please see the coach details below and note your coach number and boarding time - Sandon peeps make sure you board the correct coach please.  Please park in time to be ready 15 minutes before departure.  Parking details are shown for each coach. Please check in with your COACH LEADER before you board the coaches. All coaches have a toilet except Kent coach as this is a double-decker but toilets are available at or near every venue.  

Coach rules: you may eat and drink on the coaches but please be considerate and do not bring any ‘smelly’ food and no alcohol is allowed on board. Please bring rubbish bags and take all your rubbish with you when you leave the coach.  You may leave belongings on the coach at each venue at your own risk.

COACH 1  Essex: Rayleigh.  Pick up 1: 08.45 Rayleigh Grange Community Centre, Little Wheatley Chase, SS6 9EH - park in the car park; Pick up 2: TBC

COACH 2 Essex:  Chelmsford 09:15 Sandon park and ride CM2 7RU (follow payment instructions). 

COACH 3 Essex: TBC

COACH 4 Kent / Essex / London  Coach details: Pick up 1: 08.30 am: Swanley- St Peter's Church, College Rd, BR8 7RH - park in the car park; Pick up 2: 08.55 am Lakeside Car Park 8 RM20 2ZP (see location here); Pick up 3: 09.15 am Upminster Station, Station Rd, Upminster RM14 2TD - park in car park and follow payment instructions please.

COACH 5: Midlands: Pick up 1: 08.15: Asda bus stop, Leamington CV31 1YD - park in Asda car park we have permission; Pick up 2: 09.00 am Elliot's Field bus stop, Leicester Rd, Rugby CV21 1SR - Park in Sofology car park ( see location here).

PLEASE BRING A PACKED LUNCH or any refreshments with you that you will need for the day.

DAY ITINERARY - this will be updated as we get more information so please keep checking back.

BY 10.30 am Coaches will drop you as near as possible to the Corn Exchange.  This MAY be a 0.4m walk tbc but we are still working with the council to get this sorted.

10.30-11.00 am  Walk to the Corn Exchange, 2 Wheeler St, Cambridge CB2 3QB   We will go directly here from the coaches to leave any picnic chairs/belongings that you cannot carry. There are toilets available here for you to use - either on the ground floor (accessible) or lower ground /first floor for everyone else.  We have use of this base for the whole morning until after we perform in Market Square.

11-11.05 am please walk to St Mary's Church asap after dropping your stuff at the Corn Exchange so that you are there by 11.15 am at the latest.  On arrival get into position as quickly as possible in the nave/altar area using all the altar space/the choir stalls and the staging in front of the nave as well as the floor area at the front of the church.  Assembly in height/voice order.  Those who need seats - there are some available inside the church as well as in the choir stalls.

PERFORMANCE 1 VENUE: 11.30-12.30 pm: Great St Mary's, the University Church, Senate House Hill, Cambridge CB2 3PQ

PERFORMANCE 2 VENUE: 1.30-2 pm  OUTSIDE: The Guildhall, Guildhall Place, Market Hill, Cambridge CB2 3QJ in front of the market.  

PICNIC IN THE PARK : TBC After our performance, there will be some time to socialist/picnic together. 

THIRD VENUE:  TBC

by 5.15 pm please make your way in your teams back to your coaches for your return journeys.

COACH RETURN JOURNEY - All coaches will depart by 5.30 pm at the latest and drop off in reverse. Everyone should be back by mid evening.
