Yay Christmas is coming! Here's everything you need to know for this Christmas event in Rayleigh.  You may book tickets for this event if you have been invited to do.  Booking will be available from Monday 2nd November at 9am.

What an AMAZING year we’ve had at The BIG Sing! 🎤✨

2026 has already given us some incredible memories, from performing with David Grant at the iconic Union Chapel, to singing at the magnificent Chester Cathedral and taking hundreds of our choir members on our fabulous BIG Day Out in Cambridge! 🎶💜  BUT... CHRISTMAS IS STILL OUR FAVOURITE TIME OF YEAR! 🎄🎅✨ We simply LOVE taking The BIG Sing out on our Christmas Tour and we cannot wait to do it all again for Christmas 2026!

If you have been invited to do so, please book your space here to confirm that you will be performing with us.

Family and friends wishing to come and watch will need to book their audience tickets directly with the venue using the ticket link below.

⭐ BIG SING CHOIR MEMBERS ONLY ⭐

You may only book this event if you have been invited to do so following our Christmas Tour registration and allocation process.

• To perform, you must be a current BIG Sing choir member who is actively attending rehearsals weekly and you must commit to attending at least THREE rehearsals during the four weeks prior to this event.
• This is really important so that everyone performing is fully prepared and we can put on the very best BIG Sing performance! 🎶✨
• This special festive concert will be led by Gemma and Howard.
• When booking your performance space, please remember to select your correct voice part – Soprano, Alto or Tenor.
• We cannot WAIT to celebrate Christmas with you and show you all off! 🎄🎤❤️✨

UPDATED DETAILS:

LOCATION: Rayleigh Methodist Church, 78a Eastwood Rd, Rayleigh SS6 7JP

PARKING:  limited parking available on site.  Please car share or park in Websters Way car park, Rayleigh, SS6 8JQ and walk to venue to leave the on site parking for the audience.

UNIFORM: DRESSY!   TOP HALF: White (e.g. top, blouse, shirt, blazer, jacket); BOTTOM HALF: Black (e.g. trousers, skirt) BLACK Shoes.

TIMINGS:  PLEASE ARRIVE BY: 12:45 pm

SOUNDCHECK: 1pm
DOORS OPEN: 2pm
SHOW TIME: 2.30 pm  First half 2.30-3.15 pm  Interval 3.15-3.35 pm  Second half 3.35-4.20 pm

The soundcheck is a really important time to get the sound levels right. Expect to hear feedback, loud noises as the engineers get the levels right. Also it takes time to get the levels in the monitors right so you can hear the music. Please just be patient, it is a process and we will need you to be quiet and only sing when directed so we can get the best sound for the show.   Please do help us by keeping all movement in the show as quiet as possible - and please do not talk in between songs.  If you are unable to stand for our songs then let your tutor know and we will provide a chair.

You will have a Green Room to put your bags and coats.

If there are any problems on the day please only talk to our tutors and they will sort them out.

WATER: you may take a bottle of water (with a lid) on stage. (no hot drinks please)

Most of all please help one another, guide each other, be considerate and be kind to each other - we are family!
