Horse Soldier Bourbon Event
This delicious bourbon pays homage to the group of U.S. Special Forces veterans, often referred to as the “Horse Soldiers”, who served in Afghanistan in the first days following the brutal attack on 9/11. After their dedicated years in the service, a few veterans such as Mark Nutsch and Bob Pennington, created a bourbon brand known as “Horse Soldier Bourbon”.
The name was derived from the team’s unconventional use of horses to navigate the rugged, unfamiliar territory of Afghanistan they trekked bravely and resourcefully during their top secret mission.
Horse Soldier Bourbon has indeed gained popularity for its connection to the military but also for the high quality of the bourbon itself! Enjoy pours from their Small Batch, Barrel Strength and Straight Bourbon collections as Steve Kofron, one of the members of the “12 Strong”, swap personal, never-before-heard war stories! Tickets are $15, which includes the bourbon tastings and small bites by Chef Jon Barron. A featured cocktail will be offered for $8!
