To celebrate the publication of her book, Dig: An Excavation of Mine, artist Shelagh Atkinson will be in conversation with the book’s designer, James Brook. Chaired by Amanda Catto, the discussion will look at artist’s archives and legacies, working in collaboration, and the book as archive.

Shelagh Atkinson is a multi disciplinary artist with a studio in Edinburgh, working across the platforms of paint, print, drawing, photography and mail art. She seamlessly integrates diverse forms of artistic expression into cohesive and thought provoking works. Her multi disciplinary approach allows her to explore complex themes and ideas often delving into personal and universal narratives that resonate deeply with her audience. www.shelaghatkinson.co.uk

James Brook is a graphic designer, living in Edinburgh, specialising in typography, book design, and identities for the visual arts sector, working in close collaboration with artists, galleries, museums and arts organisations. www.jamesbrook.net
