This is a FREE event for Seacroft residents as part of the Seacroft Fruit Forest project run by Fruit Works Co-operative.
Apple and pear trees should be pruned in winter to maintain a healthy shape and size and to ensure they will fruit plentifully for future decades.
Gini from Fruit Works Co-operative will teach you the theory and practice of winter fruit tree pruning, and together we will help to maintain the fruit trees at Arthur's Rein Orchard.

What to bring
All tools and gloves will be provided, but feel free to bring your own secateurs and gardening gloves if you have them.
Remember to wear clothes and footwear appropriate for the weather, mud, and uneven ground!
We’ll provide
Hot drinks
Tools and gloves for anyone who doesn’t have their own.
Participants will each receive a copy of Chloe Ward's excellent pruning guide "for real people with imperfect trees".

This is a free event, but you are welcome to make a donation to support our work growing, planting and caring for fruit trees.
Refunds/Cancellation
If you can't make it anymore please let us know as soon as you can so that your ticket can be made available to someone else. We can refund you if you notify us up to 3 working days before the event.
