Bourbon Steward Certification Class

Come out for an in-depth class on Bourbon and earn your Bourbon Steward Certification from the Stave and Thief Society at the Distilled Spirits Epicenter in Louisville, Kentucky.  

In the class you will learn:

• The Classifications of Whiskey
• What makes a Bourbon a Bourbon, and how it is different from other whiskies.
• The history of America's native spirit and Kentucky's role in its creation.
• What the different descriptors of bourbon mean
• The science and chemistry behind distilling and aging
• Identify Kentucky’s heritage brands and which distilleries produce them.
• Art of Tasting and building a flight of bourbons

Attendees will receive a copy of the Bourbon Steward Coursebook, a seat in the class, and an online test code to take the certification exam at your leisure.

Upon successfully completing the exam, you will receive your certification and Stave and Thief Society pin.
