Welcome to Write Nights, a welcoming, joyful, informal online space to get reflective, expressive, creative and write with abandon.
Using guided prompts, soulful storytelling and community, Write Nights sessions are designed to get your creativity flowing and build your writing confidence.
Each week we begin with a warm up, then write for 20 minutes around a theme.
From first timers and enthusiastic amateurs to published creators, all are welcome - Turn up for positive vibes and lots of encouragement.
This is a mid-week word bath, a wee creative gem in the centre of the week's routine.
Sharpen your pens, unwrap your notebooks & give yourself a gift...

Feedback from previous Write Nights:
Julie creates a generous space with brilliant people who’ll change the way you think about your writing (and maybe the world). Dive in, you’ll bring up treasure - Jude Henderson - COO, Edinburgh Futures Institute
I have found #WriteNights fun and often funny, but also poignant and philosophical.... it has been a privilege to have my first experience of creative writing with such a group of great people. Highly recommended. - Tim Rogers, Senior Consultant, Insight Group, Jersey
"It is properly nourishing, non-judgemental and filled with kindness. And it gets us scribbling madly." - Alastair Works - Organisational Consultant at Workhouse8
"Write Nights" is a great way to get together with other folk and explore your own ideas and just write. If you write on a regular basis or have only just thought about picking up a pen or tapping on your keyboard, then just go for it. Nothing to lose and lots to gain." - Joyce Davies, Artist & Writer, Shetland
“The fab adventures of Write Nights. If you haven’t been, then get yourself signed up. It’s a great space to find your voice and play with words, beautifully enabled by Julie. ” – Scott Leiper, Creator at Imaginocity and the Learning Lab
