Description
Writing for Wellbeing
In support of Mental Health Awareness week, come and join a 50 minute writing workshop, specifically designed to connect you to your joy, confidence and creativity.
Developed in line with mind/body research which suggests focussing the mind on memories and states of positive thinking increases our wellbeing and optimistic mindset (See Martin Seligman’s Learned Optimism practices or James W Pennebaker’s work on the relationship between expressive writing and healing) the session is all about good vibes and practices for getting joyful.
We undertake 2-3 short writing exercises and discussions. You don’t need to read out your stuff, be a writer, or have ever tried anything like this before. Just turn up, have a go and be welcomed and inspired.
Pay what you can afford – if you need a free session, please do take one.
Writing for Wellbeing is run by Julie Drybrough from fuchsia blue & is part of the Write Nights series
