Fuckup Nights Adelaide Vol V - June 2023
Thu 29 Jun 2023 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM
Urban Safari, 5000
Description
Welcome to Fuckup Nights Adelaide! We're a storytelling-focused gathering acknowledging the mistakes, failures, and fuckup stories that impact our personal lives and professional careers, affecting us as the humans that we are.
Fuckup Nights is a global movement born in Mexico in 2012 to share public business failure stories with hundreds of people attending each event around the world. 3 speakers are invited to talk about their fuckup stories; we’ll learn about their biggest mistakes, what they learned, how they moved on- all whilst sharing invaluable advice along the way.
The speakers will candidly share in 7 minutes:
* What their project / business was
* What went wrong / How it affected their personal life / What they learned / What they would do differently.
At the end of each person’s story, you’ll have a chance to ask questions- nothing too cheeky, but feel free to dig around.
Doors open at 5 pm, and speakers start at 6 pm (so just be there by 5:30 pm and settle in).
You’ll hear stories and advice you won’t get elsewhere - and these stories will (hopefully) put you in good stead to not make the same fuckups. Find out more at

Speaker 1 - Chanelle Le Roux, Owner of Ninki Content Marketing
Chanelle has a BA degree in Communication Science at UNISA and completed certifications at Flinders Uni and AAA School of Advertising. Chanelle has also worked in sales (which broke her spirit). It also fuelled her desire to start her own business, taking everything she learned to create a humble marketing business. Not everything has been straightforward ...
Speaker 2 - André Eikmeier, Founder of Good Empire
After years of poverty, stupidity, half an accounting degree, a failed family business, an acting career in four out of five of Australia's worst TV shows, a singing career that never transcended being lead singer in a One Hit Wonders covers band, a failed theatre production company, a film production company that never broke out of making corporate videos for wineries with no money, an online wine social site which made absolutely no money, and a year-long kombi wine adventure travelling round the country... Finally, André launched wine startup Vinomofo with his brother in law Justin, and they grew it from two founders in my garage into a $100m wine brand, uniting a community of passionate wine lovers all around world.
In 2018 André left Vinomofo to create Good Empire, a platform to unite and empower a global community to live more purposeful, connected and impactful lives, and help create a more equal, abundant and sustainable world.
Speaker 3 - Andy Martin, Co-Founder of Auscast Network
Andy has been all about broadcast media since 2001 starting his career at Fresh 92.7 in Adelaide. He is a former announcer at Nova919 and was there for over 12 years. While at Nova, he became a fan of podcasts and started his own podcast with a few friends called ‘The Badcast’. He then went ahead and created an entire podcast network and became the co-founder of Auscast Network.
He certainly has a story to tell!
