Fuckup Nights is a global movement and event series that shares stories of professional failure. Events across the globe get 3 or 4 people to get up in front of a room full of strangers to share their own professional fuckup/mistake. The stories of the business that crashes and burns, the partnership that goes sour, the product that has to be recalled, stories like these will all be told.

At this third event we wil have three fabulous speakers who are going to share their mistakes.  No happy ending for any of these three stories!

• John Harvey: Three months after the launch of his business John found himself stuck on his sofa unable to leave the house. He had burnt out , but how did he arrive at this place?

• Heledd Wyn: Straight A student from a Welsh speaking comprehensive comes to study law at Bristol University. This is a story about language and how things get lost in translation!

• Chris Briggs: Chris Briggs got a dream gig massaging The Spice Girls, come and hear how he fucked it up!

John likes nothing more than to break bread and enjoy stimulating conversations with business people. Fortunately his business now allows him to indulge in this passion and he spends his time operating in the South West. However, it hasn’t been all plain sailing and he will talk about his burnout and the lessons learnt.

Heledd is a Partner in national law firm Shakespeare Martineau and leads a team of lawyers here in Bristol so has done OK for herself. But, it was
nearly not going to happen. Come and find out why!

Chris is a massage therapist and has been for over 30 years. He likes to work with extraordinary people. Travelling the globe with F1 and touring with lots of cool bands like Faithless and Groove Armada. He got a phone call out of nowhere, "Could you come on tour with The Spice Girls next month?" Come and listen to his tale of reaching too far and trusting the wrong friends.

There is step free access throughout the venue’s indoor areas via ramps and a lift, however unfortunately the terrace and garden can only be accessed via steps and there may not be an accessible toilet available on the evening. Please do let us know in advance if you will need ramps.
