Description

Boxing + Brunch Virtual Event
May 5th, 2020 - 3-4.30 p.m.

Hosted by Jen Crompton of FUEL Cycle Fitness, the virtual Boxing + Brunch event is a fun and interactive 90-minute session for teen girls, which includes a Boxing Workout + Workshop-style discussion about healthy ways to cope with and manage stress right now. The girls will learn the basics of boxing, use them for a fun workout, then join a discussion about stress with our moderator and expert resource.

Boxing + Brunch Virtual Event Agenda:

  • Intro to Boxing + Brunch - the mission + agenda

  • Boxing Workout - the girls will learn some boxing basics from Jen Crompton and enjoy a fun workout

  • "Brunch" aka our Discussion - the girls, moderator (founder, Jen Crompton), and expert resource (Madeline Duckhorn) will discuss healthy ways to manage and cope with stress right now.

The goal is to get the girls moving and give them an outlet to socially interact with others and hear from credible resources about how to cope with and manage stress, especially given the current environment. This is mean to be fun and educational for all the girls who join!

The girls will join the event via Zoom, an online meeting platform designed for virtual meetings and events. Participants will have the chance to stay on video and engage via a chat function. All participants will require parent/guardian permission to participate and will require acknowledgment to safely participate in the workout portion.

About Boxing + Brunch (visit the full website here: www.boxingandbrunch.com)

Our Mission is to help teenage girls feel strong through boxing, socializing and learning from others, gaining knowledge and important life skills, and connecting with peers, successful women, and mentors.

During our regular events, we also strive to educate moms/guardians on the topics the girls learn by providing complementary information on a parent/guardian track at each of our events. We also offer opportunities for women to volunteer and assist with the events and "mentor" by being accessible and participating in our speed networking session.
