Thank you to everyone who ordered tickets to watch Sussex Cricket v Preston Nomads on Sunday 5th July – an unmissable day of T20 cricket!

We are delighted to confirm the details for the day…

Players:

• Playing for Sussex Cricket are; John Simpson (Captain), James Bunday, Charlie Ferguson, Declan Dexter, Paul Pieterse, Harry Chetwood, Martin Barry, Grant Flower & Jack Carson.
• Playing for Preston Nomads are; Daniel Phillips, Stephen Oliver, Nick Greenwood, Jaedyn Bartosh-Short, Ollie Gatting, Adam O’Brien, Jamie Patrick, Luke Owen, Jonty Jenner, Malorie Short & Nav Patel.

Getting there:

• The venue is Preston Nomads Cricket Club, Clappers Lane, Fulking, BN5 9ND
• There will be parking however please carshare or walk if you can

Timings:

• 12:30pm – Arrival and refreshments available
• 1pm – First T20 innings
• 2:30pm – Break, speeches, auction & raffle
• 4pm – Second T20 innings
• 5:30pm – Innings ends

Refreshments: There will be a pay-as-you-go BBQ, tea & cake stall and a well-stocked bar, so please come hungry and thirsty! Vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options will be available.

Fundraising / Payments: All proceeds from the BBQ, tea, cakes, raffle & auction will help Fulking Village Hall continue to host activities & events for our community. Thank you for supporting us and please bring cash if you can (although we can take card payments).

Auction: We have some incredible auction prizes which you can bid on including;

• 2 test match tickets for one of the days for the second test England v Australia at Lords for July 2027
• Tickets and lunch for 2 people in the committee dining room at Lords at one Middlesex match for 2027
• Sussex squad signed shirts
• Harry Brook signed bat
• Jack Russell framed Lords sketch limited edition
• Coaching session for 2-4 people with John Simpson and another Sussex pro at Hove.

Raffle: As with every community event, there will be a raffle to partake in with prizes ranging from champagne to artwork, candles to glassware and a main meal for two at our favourite pub The Shepherd & Dog – tickets on sale on the day and drawn at 3:45pm.

We’d like to thank all the players, Preston Nomads Cricket Club for their incredible generosity in hosting and arranging the event, ARK Build Plc who organised for Sussex Cricket to play and provided auction & raffle prizes, and to South Downs Butchery who have donated all the BBQ food.

We look forward to seeing you on Sunday for some fantastic T20 cricket!
