FIGuring It Out: A Roundtable for Muslim Charity Leaders

Overview:

FIGuring It Out is brought to you by Funders In Good (FIG), the Muslim Leadership Foundation (MLF) and All Ways Network (AWN). This is the start of a series of discussions for Social Venture Leaders to share challenges they are currently navigating and problem-solve these with experts in the room.

For our first session at The Hulm Club, we will focus on challenges with funding, leadership skills, operational capacity and mission drift. Like a traditional roundtable, there is no single head of the table; instead, each attendee is invited to share challenges, insights and solutions with a curated cohort of experts.

Agenda:

• 6:00pm | Welcome, Networking and Nibbles with accommodations provided for Asr prayer

• 6:30pm | The Insights Panel: Unpacking common challenges faced by Muslim-led social ventures, and creative frameworks to overcome them

• 7:00pm | Curated Roundtables on Funding, Mission Drift, Operational Capacity and Leadership: Building on the traditional panel Q&A, we sit in small, focused groups to discuss the friction points your social venture is currently facing

• 8:00pm | Next Steps: Intro to the Social Venture Academy

Leaders or organisations that are:

• Working in a non-profit or leading a non-profit
• Passionate with bold ideas rooted in their communities and want to build something that lasts
• Are interested in learning about the Social Venture Academy

Requirements:

All you need to bring is a challenge you're facing and a willingness to share, support others and explore solutions together. We'll be focusing on funding, leadership, operational capacity and mission drift.
