Become a marine scientist and investigate the fascinating world between the tides! Kids will explore the shoreline through a series of hands-on scientific investigations designed to reveal how this coastal ecosystem works.

🔬 Investigate the habitat: What can the sand and water tell us about the environment?

🐚 Discover adaptations: How do marine animals survive waves, changing temperatures, and exposure to air?

🦀 Follow the food web: Who eats whom—and how are tiny organisms connected to the animals we see?

🌊 Explore the evidence: Kids will observe, compare, test ideas, and use clues from the beach to piece together how this ecosystem functions.

This isn’t just a walk on the beach. It’s an investigation into a living ecosystem—and the science is happening all around us.

Important Information – Please Read Before Attending

• Meet up for programs will be 5-10 minutes before the program starts.

• Please be mindful that all programs will start and end on time.

• Each participant will be required to have a waiver signed by a guardian before participating.

• All participants must have a ticket to attend.

• Please do not come to a program if you are sick.

• All programs are rain or shine unless otherwise noted.

• Programs are subject to cancellation only in the event of inclement weather or if minimum registration is not met, at the instructor’s discretion, in which case a credit or refund will be issued.

• Walk-ups are welcome if space is available.
