🎣 Hook, Line, and Science

Fishing is more fun when you know what you’re catching!

Grab a rod, bait your hook, and get ready to see what’s swimming beneath the pier! Kids will learn some basic fishing skills while discovering the science behind the fish they catch.

Why do fish have different shapes, fins, and mouths? What do they eat? Where do they like to hang out? Kids will learn how fish are adapted to life in the ocean and discover how the fish we catch fit into the coastal food web.

We’ll fish, observe, identify, and investigate our catches while learning about the amazing animals living just below the surface.

Ages 8–12 • $30 • Hands-on marine science adventure

Important Information – Please Read Before Attending

• Meet up for programs will be 5-10 minutes before the program starts.

• Please be mindful that all programs will start and end on time.

• Each participant will be required to have a waiver signed by a guardian before participating.

• All participants must have a ticket to attend.

• Please do not come to a program if you are sick.

• All programs are rain or shine unless otherwise noted.

• Programs are subject to cancellation only in the event of inclement weather or if minimum registration is not met, at the instructor’s discretion, in which case a credit or refund will be issued.

• Walk-ups are welcome if space is available.
