Tiny creatures. HUGE impact! Dive into the hidden world of plankton.

Kids will become plankton scientists as we use a plankton tow to collect a real sample from the water and investigate what we find. They’ll discover just how many tiny organisms are drifting through the ocean—and why these microscopic creatures are so important to marine life.

Then the real challenge begins!

Kids will study the amazing adaptations plankton use to float, find food, survive, and avoid predators before creating their own species of plankton. They’ll design and build a model with adaptations of their choice, put it to the test, and see if their creature can survive the challenge!

Ages 8–12 • 90 minutes • $30

Important Information – Please Read Before Attending

• Meet up for programs will be 5-10 minutes before the program starts.

• Please be mindful that all programs will start and end on time.

• Each participant will be required to have a waiver signed by a guardian before participating.

• All participants must have a ticket to attend.

• Please do not come to a program if you are sick.

• All programs are rain or shine unless otherwise noted.

• Programs are subject to cancellation only in the event of inclement weather or if minimum registration is not met, at the instructor’s discretion, in which case a credit or refund will be issued.

• Walk-ups are welcome if space is available.
