We spend a lot of our adult lives at work, both virtually and in real life so having some fun should be integral to your experience of the workplace, not an added ‘extra’. We learn and bond through the collective power of humour.
Funny Women has been empowering women in the comedy industry for 20 years and launched its HERlarious programme in 2018 to encourage female creatives to have their voice. It’s staggering that only 3% of the world’s creative directors are women and 83% of adverts are made by men, even though women are responsible for over 90% of purchases.
We take this very seriously at Funny Women and know that by engaging through humour we retain a lot more information and build relationships with the people we work with by having a few laughs.
Our very special event, featuring workshops, panel discussion, essential networking and live stand up comedy, is aimed at exactly that. We will show you how to express your ideas more confidently and freely using some of the tried and tested tricks of the comedy trade.
If you are a first-jobber, intern, returner to the workplace or simply need a post Covid confidence boost, a comedy fix could be just what you need. Get valuable advice on how to ‘perform’, write great copy, bring your ideas to life and develop techniques to communicate more effectively. We will be showing you how to create your own material, interpret body language, tell a story and develop a strong narrative with humour.
