Algoraveberlin was conceived through the joining of two words, “Algorithm” and “Rave”.
It is an eclectic gathering of musicians, programmers, and dancers for a night of raving, but unlike other parties, all the music and visuals are generated algorithmically through code and analogue synths.
It is a new kind of club experience; a chance to be inspired by the extraordinary synergy between electronic music and computer sciences.
Alexandra is a Colombian composer and improviser now based in Berlin, who has followed a path from Western classical composition to improvisation and live electronics. Her recent work has included live coding performance, including performances at the forefront of the Algorave scene, she also co-organised a live coding community in Mexico City.
Besch is a live-coder and co-founder of Algorave collective in Berlin. Born and raised in Tunis, he is fueled by an insatiable curiosity for sound exploration and a deep-rooted love for music. With an innate talent for getting the party started, usually mixing tech beats with north african sounds, what sets him apart is his unique approach of blending his passion for coding combined with synths and organic sounds. This fusion of music and technology has become his signature style.
